IT’S CURTAINS FOR THE COMPETITION

A leading manufacturer of curtains and upholstery products has beaten off the competition to be named Business of the Month.

Sash Curtain Makers Limited, based in Wakefield, accepted the award at the offices of Huddersfield law firm, Eaton Smith, who run the awards in association with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Sash Curtain Makers, founded in 1984, works primarily for the B2B marketplace, dealing with hotels, interior designers, house builders and retailers. The company employs 22 local people, with staff training and development a priority. Indeed, the standard of training is such that one of the largest and highest profile retailers in the UK now sends its own soft furnishing staff to Sash for training.

The company is now working closely with both Business Link West Yorkshire and the Manufacturing Advisory Service to further grow the business. There are plans to develop to develop new products over the coming 12 to 18 months and Sash Curtain Makers are also working towards ISO accreditation.
